Video: O Children – Dead Disco Dancer
I’m beginning to think this recession might be over. First Wild Beasts fork out what must have been thousands on underwater excavating and now O.Children, an even smaller band, in their early days are competing with James Bond visuals, equipped with scantily clad female dancers and some dry ice. It’s a fantastic watch – Tobias O’Kandi is even more commanding visually than he is sonically. It starts with a punch and ends with a glare but the music speaks for itself – dark, intelligent and the defining example of style.
This is on a double single : ‘Dead Disco Dancer’ / ‘Dead Eye Lover’ – they’re dead good. In fact the best thing I’ve heard all year.
